Judith Light

Judith Light (Proactiv Solution Spokesperson) has captivated audiences worldwide in a wide range of starring roles

including comedy series, TV movies, live theater and a long running soap opera. 

Judith just completed the run of the Pulitzer Prize winning play, "Wit". After a long run and rave reviews in New York, she went on tour bringing her uplifting and heart-breaking performance to Boston, Washington, DC and San Francisco, among other cities. 

For 8 seasons, Judith portrayed high-powered advertising executive Angela Bowers in the ABC-TV hit comedy series, "Who's the Boss?" The show remains a hit in syndication in the U.S. and abroad. 

Judith has starred in numerous TV movies, including "Men Don't Tell" with Peter Strauss, which dealt with the subject of husband abuse (1993, CBS-TV). This tele-film received a number one rating for the night and landed in the top ten for the week. 

For 5 years, Judith portrayed Karen Wolek on "One Life to Live," winning 2 Emmys, 2 Soapy Awards, and the Soap Opera Hall of Fame Award. One of her performances, "Karen Wolek on the Stand," is used to this day in acting classes throughout the nation, and was honored by TV Guide as one of the "100 Most Memorable Moments on Television." 

In 1989, Judith starred in the ABC-TV movie "The Ryan White Story," the landmark production which introduced many Americans to the horror of AIDS. Portraying the mother of Ryan White, a teenager with AIDS, Judith was inspired to begin working with several AIDS charities. Today, she is one of Hollywood's most active figures in this cause. She volunteers her time to several organizations, including Project Angel Food, AIDS Rides, and the NAMES Project. 

Judith has recently taken on the challenge of co-producing. She has also started a thriving career in voice-over projects, including the character "Honey Chicken" on the animated TV show "Duckman." Judith lives in Los Angeles with her husband, actor Robert Desiderio, whom she met while appearing on "One Life to Live.
